Strawberry Pendant

I have been slow in posting my jewelry pieces here, and so I'm going to try chipping away at it!

This piece is in a set called "Fraises des Bois" that focuses on the wild or Alpine strawberries that grow in European forests. They have a strong flavor and are often served plain in a bowl the same day they are picked, as they do not last long. I paired the flowing plants with the ladybugs that help protect them in a long pendant of pure silver.

The red stones are vintage 2mm ruby-colored glass cabochons from Western Germany. I sculpted each leaf, ladybug, and strawberry in polymer clay and then made a silicone mold for the silver PMC3 clay, and you can see the original design here: [link]. I then fire the clay in a kiln, use a tumbler to polish, and add a liver of sulfur patina.
